Overall, I'd characterize Sketchup as a paint brush where Revit is a chisel. Generally for early conceptual development, project massing and space planning, and the ability to kick out a few nice renderings without having to expel a serious amount of effort.Įxcept maybe in design/build residential, it doesn't have any foothold in general architectural design and documentation.
